ABOUT US

Jessica Leger began her education at the University of Southern Mississippi where she earned a bachelor's degree in Psychology.  She returned to her hometown of Baton Rouge, LA, where she earned her master's degree in Social Work at Louisiana State University.

Jessica worked for a nonprofit agency as a case manager and counselor before joining the Special Education Department of a school system.  While there, she worked as a counselor focusing on behavior management, emotion regulation and social skills.  In addition, Jessica volunteered as a phone counselor for a crisis intervention line.

After moving to Lafayette, LA, Jessica trained in Infant Mental Health through Tulane University and practiced these skills in a community early intervention program.  After a few years, she moved to the private sector and joined a psychology practice in Lafayette, where she primarily saw children and adolescents.  Jessica opened Leger Counseling after moving to The Woodlands, TX.
